Taking the kids to the Doc + Wed Links

On Tuesday my daughter had her  9 year old check up at the doctor. I told her the night before and she kept questioning me if he was going to get a shot. After the millionth time I said yes they gonna give you 4 shots she went to bed upset….*lesson: stop asking me shat if you don’t want to know the answer*

I had no idea if she was getting a shot or not I just got tired of her asking me so we got up that morning and I had to practically drag her out of the house.

Doc: Hey Zaza how are you. You are here for your 9 yr old check up how does it feel to be 9

Zaza: fine…I want to know am I getting a shot

Doc: Well now let’s look at your records…..no ma’am you won’t need a shot today.

Zaza: Oh okay good mommy said I was getting 4 shots today and I was scared

Doc: *looks at me with a side eye* No your mommy was wrong you won’t get a shot. Now take off all your clothes so I can check you when I come back

Zaza: *looks at me* See, I am not getting a shot but why do I have to take my clothes off? I am uncomfortable and I don’t want her to see me naked.

Me: You have to take your clothes off so she can check you and make sure all is okay.

After the doc checks her she asks her a series of questions here is why I don’t like doctors they ask too many questions and the kids just tell all the business

Doc: Do you eat lots of fruit and veggies?

Zaza: No, I don’t like a lot of green things and fruits have skin I don’t like that either. My mom does buy a lot of cookies in the house though

Doc: Do you ride in the backseat?

Zaza: Yes but sometimes I ride in the front if we are going up the street

Me: *face palms*

Doc: Do you go outside and exercise?

Zaza: No we don’t go outside my mom says she doesn’t do outside its too hot she sits in front of the computer a lot and when we ask to go to the park she says no most of the time and when she does take us to the park we only stay like 5 minutes

Conclusion: ………….let me say this about outside. When I was younger my grandma lived in the country with cows and chickens and she had me outside from sun up to sun down in the summer when I visited. I vowed when I got older I was not going outside at all. I learned how to lawn 2 acres of land at the age of 8, fix fences in marshland, milk cows, plant veggies, and I can drive a tractor my ass ain’t going outside for nobody. And we stay longer than 5 minutes I stay at the park at least 15 min. I do buy cookies but I buy fruits too she just does not eat them. I rest my case

Don’t you just love the honest answers that come out of children when asked a question. Sixteen is to young to vote. Most adults can’t even answer simple questions about political things let alone sixteen year olds.

Haha, hilarious. My daughter would so do this too. She loves to throw me under the bus. She always wants to know if she’s getting a shot too.

For some reason at some point in my life I didn’t like going to the park. Now conveniently since Michael has gotten older I don’t mind it so much.

Hahahaha…That was so funny! Kids do tell everything. Everything! It is hot outside. Unless there is a pool or beach involved, we don’t get outdoors either.

I was very amused by your daughter she really tells it like it is. This reminds me my kids need checkups. My kids are scared to get shots and they are much older.

Too funny. This is definitely my youngest kid. I can totally see your mouth drop each time your daughter spoke. She was telling the truth though. LOL!

I love taking my youngest to the park and we wind up there for hours, I love watching his joy. My oldest did ask from time to time if he needed a shot, I always told the truth.

This is so funny. My daughter would have said the same, she loved to throw me under the bus when she was younger.

Ah… kids will always be that honest! I think you’re doing a good job and you don’t have to worry about a thing. I used to always be excited during doctor visits when I was a kid because our parents would get us treats after, lol!

It is so tempting to take a look at your Avengers recap but I don’t want to risk the spoilers! I am so excited to see it.

She’s such a smart kid with her answers to the doctor. I guess she does need to play outdoors more too. They’ll be kid only once.

Ha ha ha, such a fun conversation but yes, I don’t like doctors as well. Kids are brutally honest when being asked questions.

Bahahahaha. Yep. Kids always tell it like it is. I have an 8 month old grandson and keep telling my daughter and her husband that before they know it he will be repeating everything they say and do. LOL

I don’t have kids but I know they can be brutally honest. That doesn’t make you a bad mother though, you’re amazing at what you do! Kids will be kids!
