Food Stories: Nancy’s Pizza

I’m getting more into food this year as I love to eat and I can cook. So this year I want to take you all on a journey with me as I visit new places to eat around the US. I am going to start with the city I live in Conyers, GA. Conyers, GA is right outside of Atlanta (45 min east) and its finally coming into the 21st century with the food places. I don’t have to travel all the way downtown for some decent food. We visited the new Nancy’s Pizza in Conyers and I want to give you my take on the place as an honest non paid blogger. Basically, I ain’t paid for this review but even if I was I always keeps it 100 on here. So come with me as I visit Nancy’s Pizza for the first time.

Nancy’s Pizza

Anytime I visit a place to eat I always look for the score. I will walk out the door if the score is under 90. I’m sorry if I’m going to pay you to eat I want to know if my health will be in jeopardy because I don’t have time for your mess ups when it comes to how you handle food. Thankfully they had a score of 100 which is rare in Atlanta…trust me I know. The place was very well lit but you could tell it had just opened up as it seemed everything was spanking brand new. Down to the tables and chairs and also to the people they were interviewing in the back.

I loved that you could see the people in the kitchen cooking. That’s always a bonus for me. So we sat down and had a great waitress who wasn’t stuck up. The menu has more than just pizza on it which we soon had to learn about because guess what…my son doesn’t like pizza. I know he is weird and from another planet. He didn’t want to eat there at all because he didn’t think they had anything he wanted.

They had alfredo pasta he wanted that with shrimp

They had wings but it wasn’t his favorite lemon pepper

He was going to go hungry until I asked the waitress if they had lemon pepper and low and behold she did. It’s not on the menu as of yet but make sure you ask for it when you go. Now that we had him happy my daughter and I looked through the menu to see what type of pizza we wanted.

Nancy’s Pizza is best known for its deep dish Chicago style pizza.

I didn’t want that lol. I wanted a regular pizza.

My daughter got the deep dish personal pan and I got a pepperoni and sausage pizza with spinach and mushrooms. The pizza was very very cheesy and since I’m lactose that didn’t make for a great night but it was worth it. The pizza was very very good.

• They give you water for free in a fancy bottle so you don’t have to pay for drinks
• Loved the bar area gotta go back without the kids
• They had big screen tv’s throughout the place so it’s a great spot to watch some games
• Food was freshly done and it didn’t take that long to get the pizza
• A lot of people got take out so they do have that aspect which is good (no delivery unless you do grub hub or uber eats)
• Very kid friendly

The price wasn’t bad at all. I paid 50 bucks for drinks, wings, and two pizzas. I think this will be our new spot. I actually have nothing bad to say about the place so I hope it stays that way. If you have ever been to Nancy’s Pizza what do you order? What’s your favorite pizza spot in your city?
