My Summer 2021 bucket list

I like bucket lists you don’t have to be old to create one. You can have a bucket list for travel, for a certain age, a business bucket list, and you can get your kids involved in making their own bucket list. This Summer I want to accomplish some things and I thought I would write them down. You know what they say if you write it then you will live it. I hope this is true. Even if I don’t get to everything on the list I still want to create a list for me to refer back to. So without further ado here is my summer 2021 bucket list.

My Summer 2021 bucket list

Do a getaway for just me, myself, and I. I always travel with my kids but I haven’t traveled alone for me in years. I would love to stay at a hotel for 2 nights away from kids and get some time for myself. I love my kids but I also know that they are getting older and I need to figure out who Kita is without kids.

Take a day trip. It can be here in GA or even in another nearby state. I think taking a day trip to explore and see can be beautiful. I also say do this with a good friend so you can have help driving.

Plant. I don’t have a green thumb to save my life but I truly want to plant something in my backyard. Maybe I can start with window boxes or something small. I will plant something and keep it alive this summer.

Read at least 5 books. I am an avid reader and I miss it. I don’t have a lot of time during the Fall because of school and other activities. Now that I don’t have to take kids to school I have some time to actually read.

Try a new hairstyle. I am going to step outside of my comfort zone and try something new. Summer is the perfect time to try something new because I don’t have to be anywhere and no one will really see me lol

Master the perfect cocktail. I’m not a drinker per se but I truly want to create my own signature drink that fits me. I want to master that this Summer.

Ride my bike. I have one and I have only ridden it twice. A shame and I will fix that this Summer.

Exercise. I don’t move…at all. I plan on doing at least 15 min per day. I gotta start somewhere it’s time to get rid of this weight. I want to be under 200 pounds by the end of the year.

Invest in some nice sunglasses. Look I love sunglasses but I always buy cheap ones. I actually want to spend some time trying some on and find the right one for me that may cost some money.

Pick up my camera. I only pick my camera up for photoshoots and sometimes I forget that I can actually pick it up and take photos around my home of our everyday life. I want to document my life my way.

Try a new dish once a week. I’ve been lazy in the cooking department which I am every Summer because I rarely cook but I do want to try something new each week during the Summer. Some things I will like and some things I won’t but the key is to try new foods and dishes.

Decorate my hallway with a gallery wall. I am not a decorator at all but I figured it would be nice to maybe get some frames and do a gallery wall by myself. I will start with some photos of myself and the kids and do it slowly. I am thinking maybe 6 8 x 10 photos 2 of each of us…chile I don’t know but we gonna try to do this.

Start my book. Shhhhhhh

What’s on your bucket list for the Summer? One of the things I want to do is create a schedule and routine that I never seem to stick to. I also want to teach my daughter how to cook and my son how to work at a job (he works for me first). Other than that this Summer will be filled with randomness and spur-of-the-moment things.

My summer fun is replacing all the carpets with vinyl planks. Then I am creating an exercise room.

I love this list! These are all such great manageable goals for yourself. Well the book writing seems like a lot! But you can do it! I checked one thing off my list already which was create a cozy cute guest room in our basement. It’s turning out so great! Next up is painting my son’s room.

I love this list, thank you for sharing it. If I were to do mine, I’ll include travel in it, too. I just hope that we all get vaccinated soon so that we can travel again.

I love your bucket list. It’s relatable, it doesn’t have to be our dreams always right.

This is such a great list and one I should probably adapt. I had big plans for my summer and they all kinda went to pot. I am determined to have a getaway by myself though – and I really should pick up a book. I also want to get back into sketching.
