Getting up close and personal with whats new in the technology world

The hubs was a big technology nerd. Anything new and worthy he was here for it and I was here making sure my bank account stayed intact and not empty. If something new came out he wanted to buy it and there were many fights about what he couldn’t get because dude….bills. I was invited to the Techlicious event here in Atlanta last week to check out what’s new and exciting in the technology world. Let’s take a look at some new things, what I thought about each project, and what you should definitely spend your money on. Let’s see what the consumer technology association is doing these days.

What’s new in the technology world

What's new in the technology world

First, let’s take a look at the sunglasses. Not just any sunglasses but Bluetooth sunglasses. You heard me correct because you can actually hear with these on and still talk to folks. People think I’m crazy now wait til I put these on out in public.

This is perfect for going on a jog. You can listen to your music, take phone calls, and still be aware of your surroundings. I like that for safety purposes!

Next, let’s look at the noise-canceling headphones. This is what I need in my life. I am buying these asap because sometimes these kids can get oud with their fortnite and stuff and I just want to hear my own music. Plus I don’t own any headphones…none at all so it’s time to get me something that works for me where my kids can’t touch it.

This is a must buy.

Now the surprise of the day for me was the Healium

Healium is the world’s first virtual and augmented reality platform powered by brainwaves and heart rate via consumer wearables. Healium is a biometrically-controlled, drugless solution for stress, a $300B profit and people killer. These story-driven escapes are powered by the user’s feelings of positivity and calm via their wearables and our patented technology. Healium stories, packaged in a portable, digital kit, allow users to see their feelings heal virtual worlds.

Here is my quick personal video of the event

Shopping for your home just got easier

Amazon was there with their new app that decorates your room before you buy anything big. As a nondecorater, this is the perfect app for me.

Amazon AR View

https://www.amazon.com/adlp/arview

View in your room lets you view products in your home before you buy them. You can see how products fit and look in your home before you bring them home. Curious whether a chair is the right size for your living room, or whether a coffee table you like will go along with your sofa? Now just pull out your phone to find out.

Jedi Challenge

At the event, I was able to come home with this device.

I did receive this item for free but all opinions are mine.

The Star Wars Jedi Challenge virtual thing is what I call it. I put the box on my counter and in 2 minutes top, this is what happened.

Oh by the way he was supposedly sick this day and stayed home from school because of “allergies” he don’t look sick to me.

Anywhoo, technology is taking over and I don’t know if I am ever ready for so many new things coming. I feel that we don’t even have to leave the house. Can we get some jobs that can work from home via virtual reality so the traffic in Atlanta can go down…I’m just saying.

Are you a technology nerd? Do you have to have the latest and greatest when it comes to technology?

Thanks to Techlicious for inviting me to this event. I had a blast!

I am a tech nerd and I created a monster with my dad. He actually has the bluetooth sunglasses and he bought them himself! He probably scrolls amazon all day. I’d love for him to have the Helium thing but that price tag is too much right now. Nice video. What app were they talking about that you could see your hair in different colors?

It’s amazing how far technology has come. I would have never thought we’d see the day where we have bluetooth sunglasses! I will definitely take a pair of those noise-cancelling headphones. They will come in handy for getting in some quiet writing time.
