Backstreets back Alright

I love backstreet boys. I have been a fan since they came out. I have every single album except the first backstreet boys one. I said back in 99 that if I ever get the chance to go to one of their concerts that I would…well it took me almost 20 years but I made it there. Last week they came to Atlanta and I was in attendance. I took my daughter along so she can experience real music not that mess out here but I digress. Let’s talk all things, backstreet boys, starting with their new tour going on, which 5 songs are my favorite, which backstreet boys I like the best and why I love their music so much. Let’s start with the backstreet boys dna tour taking place all over the world.

Every time they release an album they do a tour. I love that they do that because it brings who they are back to the forefront just in case someone forgot about them.

My 5 favorite songs

I have many but I will list my top 5 and this is in no particular order.

AJ was my favorite during this era. They sing it better now though, to be honest lol

My favorite because this came off of my favorite album from them. This album ( In a world like this) was my favorite it was raw and just them. No record deal and you can hear each of them on this album shine in their own way.

I played this on repeat for what seems like an entire year when it came out

Love when they sing this live acapella. It will make your skin crawl.

If you haven’t guessed it by now my favorite is Howie. Why? He is the underdog to me. He can sang sang but I think because his voice doesn’t command an audience he was pushed to the back and Nick and Brian became the lead along with AJ. I love his voice though it’s something about those slow songs that just makes him stand out a lot.

Their music is timeless and they came out during a time when music was just that simple. I don’t know what these kids play these days but the ’90s were the best era when it came to real music don’t debate me on that. I had a lot of fun at the concert last week. It was packed and they had me standing 90% of the time. I already saw the entire show on youtube and I wish that I didn’t. There was no shock factor for me so that is the only thing I regret. If you are going to a show or a tour don’t look at the show before you go….be surprised.

My daughter went along with me and she screamed on one of the songs above (you can hear her when backstreets back song came on). It wasn’t her era but she stayed on the phone with her friends the entire time. I had to tell her to put the phone down and enjoy the moment but these new kids….

If you are debating if you should go to their concert and you love them, go. It’s well worth the money and I don’t regret a thing. Here is a bonus song where Howie shines also….just in case you need a reminder that not only can Howie sing the entire group can sing.
