My plans for 2019

I have none lol. Sometimes we plan shat way too much and it never goes like how we would like it to go. I’m tired of that scenario. I always start the year off strong saying what I will and won’t do. Having all these plans in place and then #boom……life happens and things don’t go according to the plan. I started off this year saying I was going to blog more, dive into trying to get more money, not do photography as a job, spend more time with my kids, yada yada yada….well guess what it didn’t happen. So no more planning for me instead I will say I will do whatever God has planned for me.

There are goals I would like to set but some of them won’t happen and it’s okay if it doesn’t. I won’t beat myself up about it at all. Here is my list of 10 things I want to happen but will tell you what is going to happen instead

*disclaimer……this post was done for fun please don’t take this literally. I have real goals that I will execute but I did not share them on here because they are personal to me.

My plans for 2019

  1. Lose weight….ha ha ha. Probably won’t happen but I would love to lose at least 50 pounds. What is going to happen is I will lose 10 pounds. The rest…..we shall see
  2. Network more…..I’m an introvert…I would like to go to at least one event a month. What is going to happen is I will go to one event every 3 months
  3. Have more recipes on this blog. What is going to happen is I will do the same recipes I have been doing which is one a month….you will deal lol
  4. Dress up more and not wear sweatpants as much. What is going to happen is I will continue to wear my sweatpants just buy better sweats (Pink, etc)  and add jewelry so I don’t look like a total bum
  5. Find a great guy. What is going to happen is I will continue to be single because I’m picky and the guy I want doesn’t exist. I’m ok with that, I’ve been married and I don’t desire to ever be married again….EVA
  6. Spend more time off of social media. What is going to happen is I will probably only be on Instagram all day and all night
  7. Learn how to forgive others. What is going to happen is you won’t be forgiven until hell freezes over….I’m kidding…no, no I’m not.
  8. Dive into food photography. What is going to happen is I won’t. It’s too hard and I gave up before I even started. Plus I would have to pay a stylist and I will not spend any extra money
  9. Speaking of money….save better. I will save better. What is going to happen is I will spend money on eating out and enjoying life I will just let my tire be on the donut until I get the money up (I’m kidding on this one for real. I am an expert saver and I will save more….may only be a dollar more but I will save something)
  10. Finally, I will write down 3 things I want to happen this year because I have heard that writing stuff down and manifesting it will help it to come true. What is going to happen is I am going to use my same 3 things from the past 5 years because obviously writing down that I will win 5 million dollars wasn’t brought to life the first few times

In all seriousness though I want to thank you for a great year. I have learned a lot of things this year and I hope to continue into the New year. There are some changes to the blog I have already implemented and I didn’t wait for it to happen.

  • I won’t be blogging 3 times a week anymore it will be whenever I have something to say.
  • I have my t-shirts up in the shop on this page and I shut down my other company sweetgrass roots.
  • I will only be coming out with my newsletter once or twice a month
  • My new website will be live in January and it will be a space for all things photography. I think that’s it!

Please have a safe and happy Christmas holiday. I will be back in January with what we did over the holidays and maybe a recipe lol.

Happy Holidays from my family to yours!

You have a plan and that is important. Sounds like you have it figured out. More than most

While I am glad you wrote out all these goals for yourself, I couldn’t help but hear the pessimism in everything you wrote, like you legit have ZERO FAITH in yourself. That doesn’t exactly set you up for success, thinking negatively. Take one day at a time and keep telling yourself you can ACTUALLY DO the things you set out to do vs. saying “WELL THIS IS WHAT’S REALLY GOING TO HAPPEN”.

Thank you for this. My blog is a humor blog so this was done in fun I’m so sorry you took it literally. I do have goals set that I will keep to myself that i did not share on here that I plan on executing.

I love this post! I really like the forgiving part, even though it’s funny, I know that forgiveness doesn’t hurt the other person, it only hurts me. I need to pick my word for 2019. I can’t think of one. Maybe it will be wordless. LOL Merry Christmas!!

What a great post on goal planning for the new year, yet being totally comfortable with things organically working out as life delivers them! Keep practicing food photography – you don’t need a food stylist; you’ll be amazed at your own creativity. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones!

Love the list and great food for thought. I generally don’t make resolutions because I never keep them but I can see trying out these plans in 2019.

I am so into this list! It’s honest. Most of us have plans that we never do. It is what it is. I agree with the blogging. One thing I thought to myself about my blog is that no one else is blogging 2-3 times a week anymore, why should I?!

Good luck with your goals. I need to network more too. I am also an introvert, so this can be tough for me.

Good luck with your plans for 2019, I need to think about networking more. I have to admit I hate doing it myself as well as I’m an introvert but I know it would help me so much.

Some great goals for the new year. I love the forgiving part. It’s such an important thing to remember and good for your mental health. I’m with you on the networking, that’s on my list for the New Year as well.

It’s great to have goals and it’s even better to know yourself and still try your best to make things happen for yourself in the new year.

For me, setting or planning our goals are so important because it only means that you want to achieve something for yourself and it is so important to have faith in yourself and believe in your capability.

I LOVE number 6 though lol. Listen i totally get it!! I do not believe in “New Year’s resolutions”. Because it should not take the new year for us to start making new changes with him. Every day we wake up as an opportunity to do better. I preach this all the time.

Keep It Real! I love it. I admit I try not to fool myself with long lists that I know will most likely bring me down when I can’t finish them. This is such a fun light-hearted way to look at things!

It’s good to be realistic about what you achieve in 2019. No point in stressing yourself out to “try and do it all.” With your clear plan, you will be sure to have a successful new year. The very best to you!

So many big plans for 2019! I can so relate to some of these, but I know if I take them all on at once I’ll just get overwhelmed. Trying to instead just love where I am and let things flow.

My version of this would go something like. Goal 1: Start doing video. I’ll probably obsess over the first one, get frustrated and find myself over it and writing about how people need to read more. lol
