Halloween in Atlanta

I know it’s scary here in Atlanta without Halloween going on. Car breakins, Lennox mall is the wild wild west, and lawd don’t drive in the rain but if you want to have a fun and safe Halloween here are some things we will be doing this year in Atlanta to celebrate Halloween.

First up we have the Coca-Cola center. They are doing something new for Halloween this year and inviting you in for a scary good time.

This October, World of Coca-Cola is inviting families and friends to take part in the attraction’s first-ever Halloween takeover. Offered all month long with special activations on Saturdays and Sundays, the eerie experience includes a scavenger hunt to find a mystery Fanta flavor, an after-hours event for adults, ghostly performances and so much more. Guests are encouraged to get in the spooky spirit by wearing their best family-friendly costumes and looking out for festive frights and fall features among World of Coke’s regular exhibits and experiences. FANTAstic Halloween is included as part of every general admission ticket in October.

Next up is a parade that my friend invited me to do with her. I can do a parade but do I have to dress up is the question.

Get ready for MONSTER FEST Oct 16 & 17th !! Search Little 5 Points for monsters designed by local artists. GRAB A MAP at our L5P Business Association tent. Collect selfies and complete the hunt*.

*First 300 people to WIN a Limited Edition L5P Monster Magazine*

Watch special ghoul appearances pop up throughout the neighborhood, join the costume contest, Monster Ball, and Haunted Artist Market.

Next, we have my least favorite attraction here in Atlanta. Why? Because I’m not trying to have a heart attack. You literally have to sign a waiver. I’ve been once a few years ago when I was young and valued my life. You can go though and tell me all about it…if you make it out with your heart in tack.

First, get ready to immerse yourself in a nightmare world of classic horror!
Enter RISE OF THE NETHERSPAWN: In the deepest caverns below the cursed city of Whyshburg, an ancient creature calls upon an army of nightmares led by the twin abominations, FEAR and TERROR — this as a colossal storm of shadows engulfs the world to conceal this army of horrors summoned from the NETHERWORLD.

Next up: Are you prepared for a mind melting adventure using advanced 3D technology? Thrill seekers will put on 3D glasses to explore a top-secret facility filled with bizarre creatures and malignant alien life forms…and then RETURN these foul beasts TO PLANET X!

All tickets in 2021 will be timed, dated and limited. We strongly recommend buying tickets online and in advance to guarantee entry. Walk-up/Box Office sales are limited & subject to availability.
Timed Entry General Admission tickets are just $25 (again, for entry into both haunts) so smash the BUY TICKETS button to grab yours now!

How about a cemetary scavenger hunt. Sure why not…it won’t be that scary I mean who doesn’t just hang out with the dead.

Gather a small group of friends or family for a day of spooky sleuthing on this self-guided scavenger hunt throughout historic Oakland Cemetery! From October 1-31, purchase your printable Haunted Hunt packet online (one per team), download, print, and follow all-new cryptic clues to solve riddles. No reservations are required to participate.

You can find many other activities throughout Atlanta by using Eventbrite or check your local county for things to do. If you are up to going out of town I even have some places along the East Coast for you to drive too if you don’t feel like getting on a plane. If you do venture out try not to go on Halloween go before so it won’t be as crowded. You can also chill at home too!

What will you be doing this Halloween? What’s your favorite Halloween candy?
