Last week my son came to me saying that instead of a trip this year for the holidays he wanted to do get a bed and a few other things. Of course I said ok I’ll hear you out because I believe in freedom of speech in my household. I will still do the trip but imma listen to what you have to say. So he and his sister put together their list. Here is what my kids want for Christmas.
What my kids want for Christmas
Son: So mom instead of a trip how about you get me a few things.
Me: What do you want? I am open to hearing you out
Son: But will you buy the things
Me: no but I will hear you out
Son: Really mom. Fine I would like a new bed because the one you bought us is hard as a rock, some Jordan shoes, an airpod, a leather jacket, a bape jacket and because I was good all year long maybe you can throw in a nitendo switch.
Me: *pinches his cheek* you are so cute.
Here comes his sister trying to do the same thing
Son: Oh lawd here comes the other child who lives here
Me: Well that’s not nice she is your sister
Son: Is she?
Daughter: Mom I have a list to. Since my grades reflect a better atmosphere in the home I would like to tell you what I want
Son: Show off. See mom this was my idea first
Me: *to my daughter* let me hear your list
Daughter: I would like a new bed also a sleep number would be ideal and I know mom that you aren’t rich but just a tiny upgrade will do if you can’t get the sleep number. Also a leather jacket, a cricuit machine for my crafts, a fendi purse, and some air pods
Me: Ok give me a night to think about this list and I will tell you what I will do.
Next morning I gave them my updated version of the list
Me: So I will buy both of you new beds because I do realize the ones you are sleeping on aren’t comfortable. Sleep number y’all funny. Fendi purse I’ll see if I can find a knock off that looks similar, air pods…how about those skull candy stuff. Pleather jackets I can do and as far as the Cricut machine how about we put a pin in that for now. Oh for the Jordans I gave your Auntie that to buy for you because I’m not the one. I think we covered everything…any questions.
Son: So that’s a no on the switch?
Daughter: You know mom my grades reflect a better….
Mom: Girl stop your grades is something you better do or I can take the little electronics you already got.
