New England: A Spring Break Winter Wonderland

Often when we think Spring Break, the first thing that comes to mind is warm, tropical beaches, sunshine and palm trees. If you happen to live in an area that stays fairly warm year-round, you may want to try something a little different with your family during Spring Break. If you’re up for an adventure, a week’s worth of skiing is a great way to mix things up during Spring Break.

New England offers a wide array of ski resorts that are usually in full swing during the Spring Break months. Blue Hills Ski Area, Nashoba Valley, and Wachusett Mountain Ski Area are three popular ski resorts in Massachusetts. Bretton Woods in New Hampshire and Killington and Stowe in Vermont are also great options for a family-friendly Spring Break vacation in a snowy, winter wonderland. Many of these resorts offer a variety of activities and amenities to enhance your stay. Several feature indoor water parks with waterslides, splash pads, and lazy rivers. This is a great way to incorporate some of that ‘fun in the sun’ Spring Break feel that many families are seeking in a family getaway.
