The kids and I don’t get to spend a lot of time together because I normally work on Saturdays doing photos. We spend Sundays in because it’s my non crank day so we don’t go anywhere. I had a free Saturday a few weeks ago and whenever I get a free Saturday I always go and check out someplace new to eat. A friend of mine told me about brunch at First Watch Cafe and we have always passed it by so we decided to go and actually check it out. We went to the one in Decatur, GA. It was about a 30 min wait when we got there but they actually called us within 15 min so that was a great plus for them. It looked small from the outside but it was pretty big inside. The reason I loved them was that they had fresh food and I am trying to be a bit more healthy these days. The kids didn’t want to get off of their electronics even for me to take the picture that I needed to take smh….
After we were called inside and sat the first thing we needed was something to drink…..what do you know they bring you a cute bottle to the table
After pouring over the menu for a while we decided to go for some pancakes (for the boy), French toast (for the girl) and an omelette (for me)
I always look around to see what everyone else is having before I make a decision. I loved that they served a salad with my omelette that was a nice touch.
Brunch at First Watch Cafe
- The pancakes are huge so you only need one
- The OJ wasn’t free refills so make sure you have water on hand
- I don’t drink coffee but people were refilling their cups….that tells me coffee was good
- Our Waitress was awesome she told us what not to get and what to get
The food was ok. It wasn’t the best I’ve had but it was fresh. You could taste the freshness in everything so that was good. My son didn’t like the eggs and my omelette was about a 6 on a scale of 10. My salad was actually pretty good so I was satisfied with that. The atmosphere itself was good all the waitresses were nice and the staff friendly. The best part about this place is that they give back to the No Kids Going Hungry campaign. When I saw that sign I was like this makes up for my omelette. I love when companies are giving back to this wonderful cause.
Have you tried Brunch at First Watch cafe? Do you have one in your city?

October 10, 2017 at 1:31 amWe don’t have one in our city, but it sounds like it might be worth a visit if we happen upon one. If I get a free morning, I love to go out for breakfast with the family, and we could eat pancakes for days. Yum!

October 10, 2017 at 1:47 amI don’t have a First Watch around me, but their charitable giving would really draw me in. I also think those water bottles are a charming touch.

October 12, 2017 at 1:12 amI see the supermarkets selling self-serve smoothies in those cute bottles. It makes you wanna buy just to take home the bottle.

October 12, 2017 at 4:32 amI don’t have this restaurant in my city. I like a good omelet, I had one that had bacon, sausage, hashbrowns, and cheese on top. Sorry, the food wasn’t that good but glad to know they give back.
