In our current society, giving the gift of an experience over something tangible is now the thing to do. You won’t find me complaining any because I love this idea. Outside of this aspect, we all have those friends who love to travel. It can feel super hard trying to find them a gift they’ll be happy with. Plus, none of us have enough money to gift them with a trip on our own. So, here are a few gift ideas for people who love to travel in order to help you out.
Gift ideas for people who travel
- Airline Gift Cards
- Hotel Gift Cards (Also, AirBnB)
- Food Chain Gift Cards
- Clothing Store Gift Cards (various trips may call for new clothing options)
- Neck Pillow
- Travel Hair Dryer (or other hair tools)
- Luggage (especially carry-on bags)
- A blanket with some of their favorite travel photos on it
- A physical photo album with various trip highlights
- Volunteering to babysit kids, animals, or house
- Global Entrance Clearance Pass (this pass lasts 5 years)
- Travel Size Shampoo/Conditioner Set (you can get these to where they contain multiple bottles so they’ll be covered for multiple trips)
- Empty Travel Bottle Set (this way they can fill their own as they need it)
- A Gift Basket with things such as wet wipes, earbuds, waterproof disposable cameras, etc.
- A Kindle or Other E-Reader
- Emergency Travel Kit
- Puzzle Books or Coloring Books
- Books, Magazines, etc. with a travel theme (maybe suited specifically for their next destination)
- A good set of headphones
- An MP3 player or another music device that doesn’t require the internet to listen to
- Flytrographer gift card or similar service (this allows you to get a photographer for your specific travel area to have professional shots of your travels without having to pay an arm and a leg to bring a photographer with you)
- A wall hanging of a pinned map showing all the places they’ve been
- Travel themed clothing
- Travel thermos or mug/cup
- 4-in-1 Adapter (various countries will have their own electrical outlet style – the outlet allows for this to be a seamless transition, keeping all devices safe)
- Travel Journal (these can easily be personalized to suit the traveler themselves as each person has a different travel style)
- Personalized Passport Cover
- Travel Documents Organizer (probably one of the more hands items I’ve ever gotten, especially with kids in tow)
- Sleep Mask (these are especially handy on long plane rides)
- Travel Themed Jewelry
- Give them a picture of the favorite placed they’ve traveled to and one of the favorite place they’ve never been to as a picture set or their wall
- Custom painting of one of their favorite traveling photos
- A calendar made up of some of their travel photos
- A travel tree that shows all the places they’ve visited
- A travel keepsake box
- Best of all….cash!
Usually, travelers aren’t overly picky on the gifts you give them. This is because they’ve usually surpassed looking at physical, tangible items as the most important thing in life. It’s the experience and the emotion attached to it. This means that it won’t matter if it’s big and expensive, as long as you put your love into it.
