13 things I want to do with my daughter this year

Well, I have a 13 yr old an official teenager. She acts 17 already. When they told me I was having a girl I was kinda sad because I knew that I argued with my mom a lot and I didn’t want the same thing to happen to us. I wanted my daughter and I to have an almost perfect mother-daughter relationship. Well, that ship sailed when she got out of her playpen at 6 months. I knew she was going to be a strong, independent girl I just wasn’t ready for how strong. This year I started spending more one-on-one time with both of my kids. Once a month I would do something that they liked and spend that quality time with them. That got me thinking about things I wanted to do with my daughter this year so I made a post. Kind of like a bucket list. So here are 13 things I want to do with my daughter this year. (Some of them we have actually already done)

13 things I want to do with my daughter this year

  1. Take her on a mother daughter trip. Somewhere to relax with a spa
  2. Learn how to do both of our makeup she is ok doing hers but I am not a makeup person so I need some help. I’ve been watching youtube and trying but still not there
  3. Dance with her. She is a dancer and I want to learn some of her dances the ones I can do because my fat ass can’t be doing a lot of shat
  4. Go camping but make it glamping
  5. Teach her how to cook. I tried that when she was 11 we argued so much that I gave up but hopefully this year she has a better attitude or maybe I will…
  6. Read a book together and then discuss. She loves to read which is rare with these kids today
  7. Volunteer together. I want her to be a bit more humble than she is and I want her to know that others aren’t as fortunate as her.
  8. Plant some flowers. She loves planting and I hate it but I think we can plant something together and watch it grow.
  9. Have a mother daughter photoshoot. Just us!
  10. Go get ice cream because she loves ice cream and that’s a good time to just have a good ole talk with her
  11. Attend a concert together. We’ve done one before but this time I want her to pick the person
  12. A day at the mall…we do this a lot but never just us. We need the boy to carry our stuff lol
  13. Just chill in her room and listen to music

Having a 13 year old daughter is not for the faint of heart. It’s tough with this attitude and she tests me daily but she aight. She is smart, kind sometimes, will fight for what she feels is right, will stick up for her friends (she has done this many times), can dress her ass off, can bake, and she is very organized.
