Thank you to the stranger who helped me + Wed Links

It’s tough trying to do everything at one time. The other day I was in the grocery store and the kindness of a stranger helped me to realize that it’s okay to just breathe. Whoever the guy is (I know he may not read my blog) I want to say thank you. Thank you to the stranger who helped me!

Thank you to the stranger who helped me

I was in the store with my daughter, my son was at Jiu Jitsu and I was on the phone with a client trying to do some photography stuff, telling my daughter no she can’t have something, trying to grocery shop from a list that I couldn’t even read, and checking prices of things so I can get the best deal. I saw the guy watching me but didn’t know he was truly watching me

Zaza: mom can I have candy

Me: no

Me: *on the phone* yes I can do that background for the product or do you want something more realistic

Zaza: Mom….you are about to run into someone

Me: Sorry (parks the cart to the side)

Zaza: give me your list mom I will go and get the groceries

Me: no give me one moment. (on the phone) so yeah I don’t know what date I will have that to you since it gets dark early

Grocery shopper: Ma’am can you excuse me I can’t get by

Zaza: My mom is trying to make money you wait

Me: OMG hold on, lil girl don’t say that. *talking to the customer* I’m so sorry I will move

I go down another aisle and finally finish my convo (I could have waited to take that convo but this is one of my paying clients and I don’t want to miss my money)

Me: ok let’s finish up can you….

Zaza: Mom are you poor?

Me: Why did you ask?

Zaza: because you are always checking sales and prices. Can’t you just buy the stuff and let’s go. When daddy was alive you could have just shopped without worry.

Me: yes I know but with dad gone, I have to be extra careful with my money

We get up to the register and she is loading things on the belt. I forgot one thing and the guy in front of me said I will load it up for you go get your item so I said thank you and when the girl and I got back he had already paid for my groceries and left money to cover the one item I forgot.  The cashier said ma’am he said you were doing a lot of things so it was nice to help you out and he said to keep up the good work because women can do it all.

I saw that you need luggage. Depending on the size you can get luggage for a great price from Macy’s ( they usually have coupons online too). They generally have fantastic sells on luggage sets. Another place with get good luggage is Staples. I bought my kids luggage from there and I was able to get 4 carry ones for about $12 each. Saving money is my speciality.
