Where to get content ideas for blogs

I never run out of content. I have been blogging since 2010 and there is always always always something to talk about. Do news people just say there is no news to talk about? They may say it’s breaking news but they find several ways to bring you that news. Same thing with blogging. It’s not hard to come up with content you just aren’t looking in the right place. So I want to share where I get my content ideas from to put on my blog. If I can just do the same with social media I would be in heaven but I digress. I’m going to tell you where I get my content from and how I go about getting ideas to talk about. I will break down my strategy step by step giving y’all all the secrets!

Where to get great content ideas for blogs

First, figure out what season you are in. For example, right now it’s back to school time. Content should be up by now and you should be working on Fall stuff. I am not like everyone else so I’m behind lol. I am just now working on back to school and then I will get a few articles up for fall. So let’s start with Fall content ideas. Most people will talk about Fall trips, Fall Home Decor, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc. Dig deep into those categories and find something unique to talk about. For example instead of just putting up Halloween recipes or how to decorate for Halloween. Maybe put up a post on how to have a Halloween party in your neighborhood. Talk about your Halloween as a child and what you wish you knew then that you know now. Last year I did a roundup of spooky places to visit just on the East Coast. Different yet stays within the realms of Fall.

Now that you know your subjects let’s go and find content to write about so that you never run out.

• Go to Quora and ask a question about fall. I put in Fall Season. Here is what came up! Content for at least two weeks that you can fit into your blog.
• If that doesn’t work try BuzzSumo. Now I’m not paying for them but if you can get a group of people to go in with you I suggest getting Buzzsumo to keep up with what’s on-trend and what people are looking for. I put in Fall Season Products (for free) and this is what came up. If you have an affiliate with Amazon or Shareasale…boom. Money in your pockets and content to share.
• Have you heard of answer the public? This time I put in back to school and this is what came up. Lots and lots of content that you can pull from. Here are some sample ideas…How to shop at goodwill for back to school or how to thrift your way back to school. Can you go back to school with school loans? How to deal with kids who aren’t ready for back to school.
• How did I come up with this blog post? A great question that I know you wanted to ask lol. I used Keywords everywhere which is a chrome extension that I found a few months ago. I use it all the time to come up with posts.
• HARO. Sign up for them today. They are looking for stuff that people are looking for. I m usually able to come up with at least one blog post a day from there.
• Of course you have Pinterest
• Or you can just ask your audience what they want to see

I usually write my blog posts a week before it comes out. I’m not like other bloggers who plan content weeks or months in advance. I ain’t got time for that I gotta do what I can when I can. So I came up with the idea for this post last week and then wrote it on Saturday to be scheduled for today. It’s just that easy! So now that I have shared my secrets with you tell me how you come up with content ideas for your blog post. You should never ever run out of content.

Now I just need someone to help me come up with content for social media which is so hard for me to do.
