Turning 14 isn’t really a big deal

Well, my son is officially 14 (he turned 14 on June 5th). I usually do a photo every year for each of my kids but my son said and I quote “use the photos you already have of me” I wasn’t shocked because if you have a teenager you know how they go. I even bribed him with money which is really the only way to get him to do stuff around here these days and that didn’t work either. So I told him he could take over my blog for the day and answer some questions that I ask about being 14. I did one for my daughter which was cute so I thought I would allow him to come on here and do the same thing. I think turning 14 is a big deal but apparently he doesn’t.

Turning 14 is a big deal

I thought I would ask my son the same questions I asked my daughter so it can be fair.

Gym Class or Art – Gym it’s an easy A

Sweet or Salty – Sweet

Starbucks or Dunkin – Dunkin their breakfast sandwiches are good

How many selfies a day? girls do that

Books or a movie – Movies the only thing I will read is the captions on the tv

Sweats or Jeans – Sweats

How do you feel being 14? – I feel the same. How do you feel about being 50? * I bop him over the head. He knows damn well I’m not 50

Favorite food – Shrimp Fettucine without the broccoli you make us eat

Turning 14 is a big deal

My favorite rapper is……Trippie Redd

Favorite subject in school…..Lunch….*I’m giving him the evil eye* fine History

When I grow up I want to be…..nothing I’m going to live here forever and ever and ever like a bum *me: the hell you are*

A good lesson I’ve learned so far….I look for the joy in things because I don’t want to walk around being mad at the world

Favorite Ice Cream flavor…..chocolate

Favorite color is…orange

At 14 years old I can

  • Wash clothes
  • Cook a full meal
  • Drive my go kart
  • Help my mom at her job by doing graphics
  • Take photos
  • Clean the garage
  • pretty much do everything around the house because I’m the oldest and I think that’s why my mom had kids

There you have it. He answered all of these questions on his own. My remarks are in bold. I love having a 14-year-old but I also hate it because he is growing up to fast for me. He will be in and out of high school as I blink my eyes because these years will go by so fast. He is my tripping patna though we love to talk shat and do stuff together. He is always ready to ride out with me and do stuff with me. He also looks like me and acts like me. Love him and so proud to be his mom.

Happy 14th birthday to him. My son is going to be 16 in 2 months and he’s very nonchalant too.

Oh, bless him! Well done Mum for raising such a beautiful child, he can do a lot and that’s great. I like the humour around what he wants to do when he gets older.

Happy birthday! I love that you have him doing graphics for you. I’ve taught my ten year old to help me with Pinterest threads, and I’m starting to teach her to use Canva.
