The story of my first car + Checking out the New Honda Passport

I was in college when I bought my first car cash. It was the year 2001 and I made enough money from all the college kids. You see I was always a hustler. I learned how to cook in 2001 and turned right around and charged folks to make them a meal because no one wanted the nasty stuff from the cafeteria. I had a tip jar and was making so much money I seriously had thoughts of quitting school (it was a deep thought but it did cross my mind). I took all of my tip money and the money that I made and bought a 1999 red Honda civic. You couldn’t tell me anything! I replaced the radio with one I bought from a radio place and I rode that thing up and down i20 going home to Charleston as much as I could. But then life happened…I got married and had a child and the little red civic wasn’t my boo anymore. I needed space for all the things kids came with so what did I do…I went over to the Honda Accord. Before we get into that story let’s talk about the all-new 2019 Honda Passport.

New Honda Passport

Big on space, small from behind the wheel, quick, priced right. The all-new Honda passport (not the old ones from izzuu or whatever the name was) rivals the other SUV’s by a landslide.

I had the chance to check out the Honda Passport this week and I think I might need to upgrade my honda accord to a new baby.

New Honda Passport

I look kind of good in this too….so what’s that thing up at the top you ask.

New Honda Passport

The Honda Passport comes with a get away from the kid’s roof nest. You bet I will buy this for my new Honda Passport (I’m claiming it) imagine when I tell the kids I’m leaving and I actually have a place to go without spending any money. Bump the tiny home when they graduate from high school I’m getting this and exploring the US.

New Honda Passport

Ok getting back to my first car. I love Honda’s because I want a car that will last and hold it’s value. People are always calling me to buy my 2006 Honda accord and I will not part with it just yet. I own this bad boy and I have had to cry many nights when paying this car note. Let’s be real Honda’s aren’t cheap but when I tell you that I have not had to spend a dime in repair costs for my car you better trust and believe that in the long term Honda gives you more value your for your money. If anyone asks me what kind of car they should buy my reply is a Honda. I won’t tell you to buy a car that I wouldn’t buy for myself.

I think my adventure awaits with the all-new Honda Passport. BTW thanks to Victory for having us for lunch. I have never been there but the food was so good!

What kind of car do you own? Are you into SUV’s are sedans these days?

This looks and sounds like a great car. The roof nest is pretty neat. Whenever I am in the market to purchase a car I will keep Honda in mind.

My Mom is a very proud Honda owner. She proudly pushed her Honda CRV to 2,000 miles. I can’t lie they have a solid reputation.

I’ve never heard of the passport before! But, I’ve always been a fan of the CRV.
