Get to know the kids and I | Mothers Day questions for kids

First, Happy Mothers Day to all the mommies, grandmas, Aunts, play play aunts, cousin dem, and anyone who has touched a child’s life. You don’t have to be a mom in order to celebrate the day. Celebrate the day as a woman who wants to see someone who looks just like you grow up and win. Now with that being said, I saw this over on Jennifer’s blog and I thought this was a neat idea to try. Look this was not planned, it was in the spur of the moment, and what you see is what you gonna get. I asked my kids a few questions about me. The lighting was off (I should know better as a photographer) and I had to stop and start quite a few times.

Mothers Day questions for kids

Here are 5 things you should know about my kids and me and great Mothers Day questions for kids

  1. I am originally from Charleston, SC but reside outside Atlanta in between August and Atlanta to be exact. My kids are originally Georgia folks
  2. I keep it real around here and so do my kids apparently. I don’t sugarcoat anything and as I am getting closer to 40 I’m starting not to care as much
  3. I work 4 jobs. Social media manager, my own photography business, a part-time job, and this blog.
  4. I am a single mom not by choice. My hubs passed away tragically a few years ago but we are Ok!
  5. I am not a morning person and I am also a true introvert but people swear I am extroverted.

Here are a few more ways to stay connected with me

  • I post mostly Monday, Wednesday, and Friday but I do switch it up from time to time so just know that I do my best to post 3 times a week
  • I talk about travel, parenting, grief, real-life issues, and food for the most part. I will occasionally throw in a fashion post or home decor post but that is not what I’m about at all
  • I am on Instagram! I do a #kitainthedark series M-F but I do miss some nights due to my busy schedule. It’s basically a few videos of me sitting in the dark talking to y’all. Don’t miss out! I don’t post on stories as much because I like to be in the feed so everyone can talk instead of one on one conversations on stories. If I post a picture on my feed then you can see what others say and chime in better that way we can have real conversations and you never know what can come of it.
  • I do have a facebook page and group. I share on Facebook 4 times a day M-F. I will be sharing more photo shoots on FB in the future so look out for that. Our group consists of African American bloggers who are small in numbers.
  • I love twitter so make sure you catch me on there. I do some inspiration over there, funny jokes, and just have fun watching my favorite shows.
  • I don’t really do Pinterest as much these days but I’m on there
  • I have a youtube channel! I know that video is King so I’m trying to be more present over there as much as I can be.
  • My newsletter is the bomb! It’s a community of folks who come to get their laugh relief of the week. I come out bi-weekly with laughs, freebies, and inspiration, + it’s my place where I can talk all things going on in the world and give my funny opinion on it. If you are looking for free photoshoots and stuff you might wanna join…I’m just saying!

No child was harmed during the video. Also, I’m doing this with child actors next time.

Happy belated Mother’s Day! I’m trying to get like you with the multiple hustles. Right now I have the blog and test-grading, which is seasonal work. I’m always looking for a full-time work-from-home gig though!
