My top 5 favorite apps that I use daily

I’m team android. Let me go ahead and say that. To all you Apple users…whatever

The main reason I’m team android is that I am not trying to learn a new system. I have a Mac computer and I am still lost even after I’ve had it for almost 3 years. No thanks! My phone is my life and I need something functional for me that I can easily understand. Android for me is for those who are technically challenged. I know that we don’t always have the latest apps or the latest things when it comes to technology but that’s ok. I love what my phone can do and I love the apps that I do have. Speaking of Apps I wanted to let you all in on my favorite ones. I use these apps every single day and they’re my favorites. So much so that it’s on my main page for my phone screen. No, it’s not instagram, Facebook, or even any social media apps. It’s apps that I use that have nothing to do with social media. I know shocking right lol. Here are my top 5 favorite apps that I use daily.

Favorite Android apps

The ToDoist App

This app is my life saver. It houses all of what I need to do for the day. If it’s not on this app it won’t get done. I can’t ever go to bed without completing my tasks and I need a system to keep up with it all. This app sends me an email every morning letting me know my tasks for today. Now I do write down my tasks in my planner also so I can have a backup because you know how technology can be but so far this app hasn’t failed me. I love the simplicity of it and I also love that I can divide my tasks up into categories on this app. Another thing I love about this app is that I can set things for a daily schedule without having to enter it. If I know that I take the trash out every Monday that’s on my list for every Monday and I set it to that so it repeats without me having to enter it in for the week.

Lightroom CC

I’m a photographer and I love taking photos but I don’t love how they sometimes come out of the camera. I always have to use an app to clean it up. I know some people like a lot of various photo apps. Snapseed and VSCO are popular. I do have VSCO and I use that but my new favorite is Lightroom CC. I already have a subscription to Lightroom so this should be a no brainer for me. I was using photoshop but I liked the Lightroom one better because I understood it. I am still learning Photoshop for photos but I use Lightroom daily. This also helps me to practice my skills when I have some downtime right on my phone. I never know everything and I am always willing to learn. This is my go-to app these days for photos I even have some presets for Lightroom that I use to help enhance photos without all the extra work. I don’t even use VSCO cam much anymore and that’s sad F2 will still be my favorite.

HP Sprocket

This is a new one for me. I just got my hands on the new HP Sprocket and I am in love. Literally so much so that I did a video on how I am using this neat printing tool. This app gets used daily to print a photo of the day to put in our planner. I like that I can now add photos that are actual stickers to make sure we keep up with what we do daily. This adds another beautiful benefit to the planner that I didn’t even know I needed. We can look back and truly say hmmm this is what we did on this day. My daughter even wants her own Sprocket so she can print her own photos that she takes with her phone. This is a game changer! If this app isn’t on your phone, you don’t know what you are missing.

Favorite Android apps

Pocket

This app is for me to capture what I see on the web and I don’t have time to come back to it. You ever read an article from Facebook and you have to go do something else and boom you can’t finish it…this is where pocket comes in. It saves that link for you to come back too. Kind of like how we save photos on Instagram to come back to later. I saw a post from someone the other day that I thought would make a great blog post for me so I saved it in Pocket. I will read it and then create my own blog post that fits me but with the same theme. Pocket also houses things for me that I want to come back to like a favorite blogger, recipe, or life advice.

MMGuardian

This is the parenting app that literally saves my kids from getting cussed out daily. I live for this app because it gives me the map of where they are, tells me what apps they are always downloading, and alerting me to pictures that are inappropriate for them. I got an app the other day that my son downloaded a woman that was half naked. I was not a fan and made him take it off his phone. This app is an app that you have to pay for but I will gladly pay for the peace of mind that I have knowing that I can let my kids have a little freedom without them having a lot of freedom.

Other apps that I have on my phone that I use weekly are

  • Photomath – App that takes a photo of your child’s homework so that you don’t have to google it
  • Feedly – So that I can read my favorite blogs…BTW I still read blogs because social media moves very fast and I don’t like to miss my favs
  • Daily Bible Devotion – This app gives me my daily dose of bible verses so that I can be right with the Lord daily
  • Mighty Text – Because I hate having to always text on my phone…I type faster so this is much easier to use.

What are some of your favorite apps?

These are great picks. I already use Lightroom and I love it. I’ll have to give the others a try, as well.

🤣😂I’ve had an android and now iPhone. It takes some getting use to. We switched from MMGuardian to Life 360, Asana keeps me organized, and I could use a Lightroom course.

Awesome article from Team iPhone (lol)!! The Sprocket seems really cool and I need to invest in one for sure. I’ve used Lightroom but need to get better at it and I will surely check out Pocket. Social Media does move so dang on fast so I enjoy reading blogs and saving all sorts of things to my phone.

My best app is EverNote. I have my whole life in that application. It’s a note taking app that’s been working for me for the past few years.

So this is good, I learned about 5 new apps, I have downloaded on my phone, MY iPhone, lol! Snapseed, VSCO and Canva and that is too much and I have mastered none of them. Now I do need a good to do list app, Sprocket sounds fun and pocket sound necessary. Thanks for sharing!

Man, these tracking apps are everything! I’m definitely using one the second my son starts attending school. The movie “Kidnap” messed me all the way up.
