Slow Cooker Broccoli and Beef

Make a delicious toss and go classic when you whip up this Slow Cooker Broccoli and Beef recipe. Delicious slices of steak and hearty chunks of broccoli, doused in the perfect sauce and spices. A dinner that pleases friends and family alike with little fuss.

Slow cooker dinners are probably my favorite. Simply because you can toss everything in the pot, cover it, and return a few hours later to an amazing meal. The meal makes you feel like you put a lot of effort in, but in reality, you didn’t have to do squat. I’m all about those kinds of dinner options, aren’t you?

How to Make Broccoli and Beef in the Crockpot

  1. Sear the steak – In a skillet, use a bit of the sesame oil to sear the steak slices.
  2. Combine – Place everything in the slow cooker and stir.
  3. Cook – Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for an hour.
  4. Serve – Check that the broccoli suits your preferences, serve with rice, and enjoy!

Tips and Variations

  • Storage – Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days and in the freezer for up to 2 months.
  • Reheating – Reheat using the microwave or in a pot over the stove.
  • Serve with rice or noodles – Rice, low mein, and other rice noodles are a great side to serve with this dish.
  • Serve with sriracha – Sriracha is a delicious flavor and spicy kick to add to your beef and broccoli. You can either add it in when you add everything else in or drizzle just a dab on the top when serving. Spicy mayo is another great choice!
  • Make it spicy – Sriracha is the best way to spice up this dish, but you can also add pickled, sliced jalapenos or crushed red peppers.
  • Thicken it – If your slow cooker broccoli and beef recipe comes out a little too thin for your liking, simply let it cook a bit uncovered to evaporate some of the extra liquid. You can also add more cornstarch in the form of a slurry.
