Disney ain’t playing with y’all this year

Have you all seen the line up for Disney this year. My gawd! So there are a few I’m excited about and a few that I’m on the fence about so let’s discuss some of them and I would love to hear your thoughts on them. Disney ain’t here to play with y’all this year with this lineup!

Disney ain’t playing with y’all this year

I am going to start with the one movie I am looking forward to…

Lion King – This is my favorite movie from Disney…Period. Don’t debate me about this. I was on the fence about it because nothing can replace my VHS of this but I am on board now because it’s Lion King. The music, the lessons, the real-life version of this. I got to see this when I was younger now I get to take my kids….that’s called the circle of life Y’all.

Aladdin

Now I admit I never saw Aladdin until I took my daughter to the play at the Fox Theater this year. I saw pieces of it but never the entire movie. I know it’s going to be funny with Will Smith so I can’t wait to laugh.

Toy Story

I have seen all the Toy Stories so I will be attending this front and center. I love Mr. Potato Head because I had one as a child so I am partial to him and his wife. Who is your favorite character? BTW my daughter thinks her toys can talk….If they do I’m running and I don’t even run

Captain Marvel

I was in complete shock about this movie because well…I am not into Marvel but my son is.  (and his dad RIP). I had no idea there was a Captain Marvel and it’s a She….you know we rule the world. I’m just saying…

Avengers

I saw Avengers. That snap at the end…..Let’s just say I must find out what happens next. My favorite Avenger is the Hulk because sometimes I turn into that. Also, will Wolverine be in the new Avengers? My son came running down to me to ask me and he is so excited…but nothing is confirmed. Y’all know Marvel has thangs up its sleeve so we will have to wait and see.

Dumbo

Another movie I have never seen in its entirety. I have seen parts of it and know most of the story but I can’t wait to see the entire movie with my kids from their point of view. Children need something to believe in…give it to them.

Penguins

So….everytime I see Penguins I am reminded of my kids and this meme because that’s how they act. My son is the one slapping the girl down and acting like he didn’t do anything.

This movie looks entertaining and I can’t wait to see it on Earth Day.

Artemis Fowl

Never heard of this one before but the video has me hooked. Looks kind of like the matrix for kids…maybe that’s just me

Don’t forget Frozen 2 and Star Wars they are coming!

What Disney movies are you excited to see? Which ones did you see in 2018?

There are SO many good movies coming out. We’ll probably see them all. We’re the most excited about Toy Story 4. My husband will probably see some of these with us, but some will just be the kids and I. He can only take so much.

I look at this lineup, and I just see a bunch of Disney executives in a room saying, “How can we fully flex our big old Disney muscles in the coming year? Oh yeah, all of this!”
    *Insert shirt-ripping flex***

When it comes to Disney movies, it’s so hard to pick a favorite. Dumbo and Aladdin are way up there on my list of faves. Yes, I still have the old VHS Disney movies from when my grown children were little.

The Lion King is and ultimate favorite. I would love to see all of the movies though. A lot of them remind me so much of my childhood.

Will Smith as Genie is high on my list this year but it’s Disney so we will more than likely end up seeing every single one of these flicks.

I love your circle of life reference for Lion King. I’ll have to see when it came out because I don’t remember how old I was when I saw it. But I’m ready for the new one. I was so mad at how the last Avengers ended that I’ve lost interest. Somebody is just going to have to tell me about that one.

Wow, so many great movies! I had no idea there was an Aladdin movie coming out. We just went to Disney on Ice and were talking about Aladdin because it was something I saw when I was a kid. Definitely looking forward to the remake!
