Date night ideas that aren’t dinner and a movie

I don’t know about you but I am not impressed with a movie and dinner anymore. I’m grown grown I need something creative. Dinner and a movie is for 20-year-olds. In order to take me out you need to step up your game. Here are a few date night ideas that aren’t dinner and a movie.

Date night ideas that aren’t dinner and a movie

The Shooting range

I think this is a great way to spend some time getting to know one another. Let me see how fool you really are lol. I went on a shooting range date once and it was fabulous. It was different and I got to see his personality when it came to violence. Was he a careful shooter or was he someone who shoot first ask questions later. This can tell you a lot about the other side of your date if you pay attention.

Indoor sky diving

There is a spot here in Atlanta that is really cool. I think this makes a great date night. It’s expensive but it’s worth it. If someone takes me on a date doing this I know they are up for an adventure.

At home picnic

Adrienne from All things Adrienne did a perfect concept of this on her youtube channel. This is nice because it lets you spend some quiet time away from crowds getting to know the other person. Just make sure if it’s the first date he knows nothing else will be going on…unless you get down like that.

ATV riding

I am not the outside type but this is fun to do. I would be complaining but I would still do this for a date night. I would have to make sure my meds is up to par so my allergies don’t act up. If you are in the Atlanta area check out this company that does it. This makes a great night and bonus points if it turns into a race. I’m competitive and it makes the date even better

Escape Room

I did this with some friends a while back. This is a fun date night. I get to see how his brain works under pressure. This is a great way to break the ice and not have to talk about anything too personal especially the first date night. This is also perfect for the introvert in you. Trust me I know.

Paint night

Now I don’t want just any paint night. Take me to trap and paint parties going around town. I wanna drink, paint, and listen to some trap music.

Volunteer together

Now, this might be boring the but concept behind this is to see if he is a giving man. I have ulterior motives for most of these date night ideas lol. I can see if he gives his time to worthy causes and this can be a game changer to the type of man he is. I can’t stand a selfish man so this will tell you if he is or isn’t.

Be a tourist in another city

So let’s say you live in Atlanta and he lives in Decatur, GA. You both can pick another city and go play tourist. Maybe go to Macon, GA for the day and play tourist see what other areas have to offer and take some photos. Make it fun!

Play a sport together

If you know he loves basketball make it a day of one on one. It’s fun and you get to exercise in the meantime. I love sports and this would be the perfect night for me. You can also go swimming, play tennis, or go golfing.

Most men will ask you what you want to do so if they do make sure you suggest these instead of the boring dinner and a movie concept. I hope you have a fab Valentine’s Day.

I love all your ideas. We usually do movie night, but I think it’s high time to add a couple of these ideas into the mix.

What fun ideas! We want to try out an indoor sky diving place at some point. Normally we just stay in though since we can be anti-people.

I love your ideas. Typically we have dinner and a movie in because we just don’t want to spend a huge amount of money. There is something I would like to do for a nice long date weekend someplace different than where we live. That might happen one day.

Dinner and a movie has been our tradition for a while now. It’s usually the nights of a big movie premier, like Avengers Infinity War. Any of these ideas will fit into any couples’ lifestyle.

We have our own shooting range here on the farm so we do that together often. We do mostly activities that don’t cost anything. Been doing date night for 37 years now.

These are great ideas! After 14 years of marriage, we ran out of ideas. I would love to go indoor sky diving. That sounds fun.

We love adventures and have done some of these ourselves. We love to do Escape Rooms, and it is extra fun when they are holiday themed.

I would love to have a paint night with the hubs. I’m not sure if they have that here in the city though. I will have to do some research on that.

These are all amazing ideas for a date night with your significant other. I’m not really an adventure seeker, so these wouldn’t work for me, unless it’s travel. I’m all about seeing new cities

I think being a tourist in another city would be fun. My husband and I should just go to one of the downtown areas that we aren’t familiar with and explore!

Typically we are lucky to get a date night dinner alone let alone a dinner and movie. I would love if my husband would be down with the shooting range though!
