Whump Day Wed: Praying

Hi all! I am finally getting back to blogging in real time. I miss the old days of blogging so I thought I would bring it back with a new series that I will reveal on here. This will take the place of business articles that I normally do on Wed. Since I am separating my blog and my business I thought I would start a new series so that you can keep up with my life a little better. Of course the best way to keep up with me is to read my newsletter that comes out every Tuesday but this will be a follow up of that newsletter that comes out on Wed. This will be a list of what I am doing for the week (like a midweek check in), what I’m reading for the week (a book or blog post article I came across), what I’m listening to, and what I’m watching. I will call it my Do, Read, Watch, Listen segment. I may do all four or do two or three but you will get at least two of these a week. So let’s get started….

Do

This week I am changing my blog back to a blog. If you were a regular around here you would notice that I had a somewhat business type of page. Since I am separating my blog and my business I thought I would go back to a reg blog page and move the business site over to my business page. As you can see there have been some changes to my site….you don’t have to search far anymore for topics you want to see. You can now see them at the top. So if you came here for travel stuff…it’s up there, food…up there, parenting…yep up there. I hope it’s easier to navigate now and you can just simply get me. My logo and colors are staying the same and I will be changing up my instagram feed to reflect a more lifestyle type of feed. Some of my photography stuff will stay but most of my photos that I get paid to take will be up on my new instagram which is coming.

Listen

This song has been my song for the past couple of weeks……

I hope you are somewhere praying. People of our past do things to us and sometimes it’s hard to forgive but I have learned that the best thing to do for people who have done you wrong is to pray for them. Pray for them….you don’t need to get them back or be petty (I’m petty…still working on that) In life you will get what you give…

Read

I just finished up the book by Daymond from shark tank…The Power of Broke.

It was kind of a slow read for me it didn’t keep me on my toes like other books that I have read but it had some great pointers in there. I will make sure I come back with a full length book review. I like that he gave real life examples of how people went from broke to rich. Not only broke in the sense of not having any money but broke in spirit, broke in relationships, broke in the will power to grow. Make sure you pick it up if you want to hear stories about how to go from something to nothing.

Watch

What the Health (On netflix)

I am looking at chicken strangely. I mean I know I can’t get rid of all my foods but you ever wonder how people back in the olden days never got sick like how we are getting sick these days. I mean cancer….back in the day I would here of the rare cancer here and there but now it’s like someone has cancer daily. Where is it coming from? If it’s in the foods why doesn’t everyone have it or is it in the genes. I don’t know but this documentary changed my way of thinking when it comes to food. What are you watching on netflix?

Love the look of your blog! I’ve learned that praying for people is so much better than holding grudges. Holding on to grudges only hurts the person holding the grudge.

You just made realize I need to do a lot of changing on my website since I am a beginner and that’s very motivating. I have that same book but never got a chance to read it yet since I’ve been so busy with work and plus I’m pregnant trying to do everything but relaxing. I’ve seen what the health and it’s been a great documentary and I love watching those type of documentaries on Netflix. That’s why I just recently changed my lifestyle from eating meat and dairy to a great plant based diet and i felt it was a great decision. Thank so for your post.

Good luck on the upcoming changes. I like how this blog post had different sections. I’m too afraid to watch what the health lol. I love shark tank. I didn’t know he had a book but I now need to check it out. I also need to listen to that song. You’re right we just have to pray for others. This post was really good!

I’m trying to get back to the basics as well. It’s so hard not to become overwhelmed with trying to run a business. I’ve been listening to more podcast vs reading but I need to get back to reading. Change is around the corner

Sounds like the changes are exactly what you needed! It usually is a good idea to keep personal and business both separate. I hope it works out well for you.

You’re the 5th person recently to mention What the Health! I’m playing catch up with Queen Sugar right now but I’m going to check out that documentary ASAP. I love to read too (mostly audiobooks these days because I can’t really find the time to sit and read regularly) so I’m downloading the Power of Broke today!

I love how blogging is an evolutionary process. I always started out with a business blog, but over time, I’ve added a few personal touches. As far as my insta goes, it’s separate all the way. I found that it’s better for consistency.

I like this series! I’m not reading anything right now, and I’m only listening to teen pop music since that is what my 12 year old plays most of the time…Netflix? Currently watching The Office and Party of Five. Looking at food different? I know what you mean. I went to school with two people, whom I was close too in school, one has brain cancer, and the other fought breast cancer four years ago, and now it’s back in her spine! It’s totally our food. I know it is. I wished that our food was better regulated like it is in Europe.

Kesha’s new song is fantastic. It is a crazy world we live in, the song really resonates. Nice to get back into a blogging routine, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I haven’t seen What the Health, but I’ll have to check it out.

I love when blogs are more personal and less business. I always question writers when they are constantly having one sponsored post after another.

I love What the Health too. It gives us new insight and something to think of. I think the people of olden days did have cancer too, but since they did not know what it is back then, they would say it the person was ill because of witchcraft.

The Power of Broke was an awesome book. It is nice to see people who struggled just like the rest of us, make it to the top! What The Health is mind blowing as well. Knowledge is power! So ji agree with these selections. Welcome back to blogging!

I find myself reading several hours a day now. Unfortunately, it not anything entertaining or pleasant … it’s just trying to keep up with our political situation right now. It would really be nice to read some sweet fell-good love story for a change. LOL

Cancer was probably just called something else because they didn’t know what it was. And as for “back in the day” we had more antibodies and the ability to digest things we can’t now. Including that questionable chicken.

I was so glad to see Kesha’s song show up on my sirius/xm thing last week. I know she went through a lot trying to get out of her contract and back to singing. I haven’t watched what the health, and as paranoid as I am, maybe I shouldn’t! LOL
