What is JCPenney cooking up for the holidays? The holidays are here and JCPenney is on my list as a one-stop shop for all of my holiday needs. Specifically my cooking and kitchen needs. This holiday I want to have everything ready to go to impress my guests because if the food doesn’t do it….my kitchen essentials will. Usually, during the holidays I use paper plates and paper cups. I need to update a lot of things in my kitchen but with money being tight as a single mom I know I need to stretch every penny that I have. Come along with my kids and I as we travel to JCPenney to see what all we can buy. My budget is $50…..let’s go!
What is JCPenney cooking up for the holidays?
This Holiday, JCPenney challenges you to not only stick to your budget but beat your budget to get everything you need on your list. JCPenney had everything and I do mean everything for everyone. The kids in your life….they got it. Your Favorite Aunt…..they have that. Your cousin….got them too! JCPenney has been around a long time. My mom and I shopped there when I was little and this was the main spot that she bought all of her clothes from. The Worthington collection was life back when I was little and now JCPenney has expanded to even more products. They even have electronics for the men in your life! So no one is left out. I had no idea JCPenney sold toys….did you all know? I had to practically drag my daughter out of there. Don’t worry I will be back without her to shop for her.
I was even more shocked at all the Disney items in there. I don’t even have to go to the Disney store and JCPenney is way cheaper…..trust me….way cheaper than the actual Disney Store. If your child loves Disney do not go to that store. You can get all you need and save money for more stuff that you want.
After ooohing and ahhing the Ayesha Curry line I finally got focused on what I needed for the holidays….
There were 3 things I needed that I bought. Let’s see if I stuck to my budget……
Forks and Spoons because my guests shouldn’t have to eat with plastic spoons that break all the time. I have a dishwasher it’s time to focus on great quality forks and spoons for the holiday
A good quality frying pan for the omelets I was going to make my overnight guests that morning for breakfast
and last but not least a cookie sheet to bake me Santa some cookies
Forks and Spoons were on sale. Regular Price 50 bucks on sale for 19.99
Cookie Sheet pan….reg price $27.00 I bought it for $15
Skillet was the most expensive regular price 40.00 and I paid half so 20.00
19.99 + 15.00 + 20.00= 54.99 oh but wait…..
I had a 25% off coupon (I always have my coupons for any store I shop in)
Total price = round about 42 bucks I came in under $50 for three items. I am proud of myself for taking this challenge and getting what I need. Although they had a lot of things I wanted this Christmas I want to focus on what I truly need. Good quality items at a great cost that you can’t beat.
This gifting season, take the holiday challenge at JCPenney and beat your holiday budget. #JCPChallenge Click To Tweet

November 24, 2017 at 2:06 pmI love shopping in JC Pennys. Although it’s mainly online, I was shocked when I recently went into a store and saw so many options from clothes, toys, housewares. I would be interested in trying this budget out in this store.

November 24, 2017 at 5:47 pmI haven’t been into JCPenny, or as my grandma used to call it, Pennys, in so long. I didn’t even know Ayesha had a line of kitchen tools. I’ll definitely have to check those out.

November 27, 2017 at 1:40 pmThe video is so hilarious. It can be hard to stay focused when so many things are on sale. But the best thing you could do is buy the things you NEED.

November 27, 2017 at 2:02 pmI have to say that I am really proud of Ayesha Curry for following HER dream, and then I’m proud of you for sticking to your budget! Yes, I did know they sold toys, and only found out because of my children. Who ventures over there when there are housewares to be purchased and drooled over?!
