The Waffle Breakfast Sandwich your kids will beg you for

March 27, 2016

I am all about trying different breakfast items out. This one came to me from a friend so I thought I would give it a try. This fed a family of 4 for breakfast.

Ingredients

Can of Pillsbury Flaky Biscuits on sale buy one get one free. I only needed one can for $1.69

Eggs I keep eggs so I didn’t have to buy this.

Meat of your choice (I used sausage but you can use bacon, ham, etc) Hillshire Farm Sausage 3.99 for the pack

Cheese (I have the sliced Yellow American Cheese from the deli but kraft singles should do it) 2.29 for my sliced cheese 1/2 lb

Total price of the items above came to about 8 bucks. Not bad when you think of the cost of breakfast. It took me about 15 min to cook and assemble.

Let’s start with the biscuits and getting them to look like a mini waffle

I took the biscuits out of the can and spread them a bit thin and then put them in my waffle maker. Keep an eye on them it browns quick I wanted them golden so as it was cooking on low I started my eggs

I quickly cracked my eggs by the time I finished that one waffle was done, I put another waffle on and then put the butter in the pan, seasoned my eggs, and added some cheese to my eggs. Waffle was done….(my sausage was cooking also I put that on first before I put on the waffle)

After everything was complete I assembled the items

sandwhich

I like my sausage burnt…..don’t judge me

I then called the kids who ooohhhed and ahhhhed over the new breakfast dish. They asked for syrup….no eat it as is they didn’t need any sweets before school.

I could not wait to sit down and take a bite…..

So was it good…….Hell Yeah. It was also very fulling I could not eat the entire thing. Of course the kids were begging for more. Let me know if you try it and what did you think.

Oh they look really good. Now I gotta go buy a waffle-maker, LOL! I like my bacon burnt (and hamburgers and hot dogs, too)
