They want my son…..(Wednesdays Links)

Hi Everyone, so I was doing my Whump Day Wed but I thought I would bring you some funny things on Wed that I go through during the week. I think this adds a nice element to my crazy side and I get to bring my conversations back. If you were with me in my Saywhatuwanna days (my old blog that I started in 2010) I would have conversations weekly. Someone mentioned that they missed that so I thought I would bring that back along with some links around the web.

Last week I went to the grocery store…this is what went down

Girl: Hi, are you Dman’s Mom

Me: Yes…hi

Girl: *smiling and giggling* Where is he?

Me: At home….

Girl: Can you tell him I said hi my name is Shyriek (don’t know if that is the right spelling)

Me: Ok I will

Girl: Can you tell him he looked cute today

Me: (In my head I am like hell to the no, if you don’t get) In reality I said

Sure I will let him know you said hi

I got home and told my son

Son: Oh yeah I know her she cool (and goes on about his business)

Meanwhile I am a girl….I know how girls in middle school think. They want my son…they want him and I am not having it.

Here are my links for the week

I am so sick of pumpkins but I might make this

The above conversation was posted on Instagram also

I don’t use planoly but I am tempted to start after reading this post

I am lazy and write notes on a piece of paper but this seems like a better idea

Look…I bought the instant pot and I lost it in my house…I guess I should find it and use it

Trying to decorate for the fall has me going crazy. I am so thankful for Amazon Prime and tips like this

I need help with fitness goals and so glad my blogger boo can help me

There is one reason why I don’t want to go on a cruise, I can’t swim but here are 8 reasons why you should

Haha, yeah, I wouldn’t want any part of that either! Middle school is too young for all of that in my eyes.

Oh it has begun already. Keep those middle school girls far from your son. I am overdosed right now on pumpkin. Come November I will be ready for some pumpkin pie.

Middle school girls can certainly be over-the-top when it comes to crushing on boys. They can be so forward these days – LOL – I would have never let the mother of the guy I was crushing on know. Times sure have changed.

Wow, I can’t believe how early this starts nowadays. When I was younger, high school was the earliest that kids would be interested in having a girl/boy friend.

I said the other day I was out of the loop. Why am I just hearing about this? I need an instant pot now! I would have never had the nerve to approach a boy’s momma when I was that age. Dman is so handsome, but yeah gotta be on top of that.

Woah! I have no idea how that would feel because I have a girl and have never had a boy and she tells me everything all of the time. Seriously she talks more than I do so nothing comes as a surprise but if a boy called up I would be worried about his intentions for sure. Then we would talk about it for hours because did I mention she never shuts up? lol

Girl!!! These little girls these days are aggressive. I just to tell them to slow down their little red Corvette. My son is almost 13 and he is very shy. I’m so thankful.

This post reminded me of my son when he was in 7th grade. We were watching tv one weekend afternoon, and my son, being a snuggler, started squeezing my upper arm. Then popped the question, “Mama, why are girls so soft?” Sirens started blaring in my mind and I asked him, “Well, how DO you know that girls are soft? Whose arms have you squeezed other than mine??” He blushed and said, “None, Mama. Only yours. Jusr your nice, soft, squeezable arms.” I did not believe that. LOL. Not long after, “THE TALK” was started.
