The spider will win today + Links

I came home on Monday evening to discover that a spider made a web from the corner of my house to the basketball goal and was just chilling. Monday was trash day and I wasn’t touching that spider so since I am trying to teach my son how to be a nice young man I sent him to deal with the spider this is how the conversation went…….

Me: Come here my sweet little precious boy

Dman: What do you want and why can’t you do it yourself

Me: My gosh is this how you talk to me. I feed you, buy you clothes, put a roof over your head, and let you ride in my car…how dare you

Dman: Mom……I saw that spider earlier you want me to go and kill it don’t you.

Me: *jumps up and down* yes yes go get the broom and take it down

Dman: I need 5 bucks

Me: What?

Dman: yes 5 bucks because if I wasn’t here what would you do

Me: I mean I would take it down myself …I’m not paying you shat. But you still need to take the trash down to the end of the driveway so how will you get the trash can

This mug went around the other side of the house and got the trash can therefore avoiding the spider…..the spider is still sitting in the same spot and will continue to sit there. I have no need to go into my backyard for anything.

Here are my links for the week

I love pumpkins that I don’t have to carve and these are by far the best ones I have seen

Number 6 is secretly why I don’t like HGTV also

I am trying to cut carbs and this will be on my rotation list to eat

Fenty still hasn’t replenished itself in stores near me but love this vlog about it

I have learned to be more patient…and learned that from my daughter. Love what these moms have learned

This is how you redo a master bathroom…..GOALS

Grown up pumpkin juice…..might as well since we are in the pumpkin season

Why isn’t double stuffed oreos enough

That is totally something my 13 year old would say…until I tell him he’ll lose his phone for the week unless he does what he’s told with out talking back that is.

Hahaha, my son wouldn’t deal with the spider either. But my daughter would! Spiders don’t frighten her at all.

My kiddo would not do this! He is slightly afraid of spiders. I love the conversation you had with your child though. It cracked me up.

Too funny! In my house, the spider always wins. Thank goodness I haven’t seen any huge ones YET but they’re always that one. Always lurking… waiting for me. Of course I’m ALWAYS the 1st to see the spider. Long before my husband, or the kids.

Haha you have one smart boy! Thankfully I don’t get too freaked out by spiders and just ignore them or take them outside if they are inside.

Don’t like spiders at all but I would be out there making sure it was dead and gone. At least he got the trash done.

LOL he does have a point though right? Don’t you hate it when kids get so smart! I never kill spiders but I do relocate them to another location. Well unless they are poisonous or deadly of course.

I know spiders are supposed to be good for the environment because they help with insect population, but I can’t stand them. My mom gave us a scare last week when she called and said she thought she’d been bitten by a poisonous spider. Thankfully it wasn’t, but I’ve checked the outside of our house daily to make sure we don’t have any trying to find a home on our home. I even had the Mr. take the water hose and rinse the house down. Nope, I don’t play when it comes to spiders.

BOYS! Oh My, he sounds just like my son! I wanted to tell my son something the other day and he was like “how will that benefit my life in the least?” For real! Happy Spider hunting!

He had a little bit of leverage there! I always used to ask my kids to handle spiders too. I can’t do it!

Hahahahaha…That sounds like my 18 year old daughter! She will go above and beyond to avoid the simplest of tasks that she doesn’t have to do.

This is by far, the hilarious thing I’ve read all day hahaha. I agree though, that spider can chill there and me elsewhere lol. And FYI…invest in a pest spray solution that allows you to stand from far and deal with critters!

Hahaha what a punk! He’s learning how to work it, and that’s both hilarious and maybe possibly frustrating. It’s the great spider standoff. lol

Spiders don’t bother me. It is the lizards that freak me out. I made a deal with my sons. They take care of lizard population, and in exchange, I make sure no cockroach gets near them. 🙂 Don’t care if I disrupted the food chain!

I wouldn’t deal with the spider either unless there was no one else around and I had to. It definitely wouldn’t be my first choice though.
