The Holy Chic: The day I met me

May 16, 2016
Real stories always touch my heart. Sometimes people think that when we succeed it was given to us. Or that when we make it big we didn’t go through trials and tribulations. I was honored to read this ebook by Melesha Oglen which spoke to how she overcame things to get to where she’s at now. What have you overcame in life? I asked Melesha some questions about her book read it below.
Tell us a little about the ebook and why you write it

1. I wrote this eBook because so many of us are ashamed of what and where we came from. So many are living phony lives trying to portray something they are not.
I have made mistakes and I am better now because if them.

the holy chic

Why the title The Holy Chic?

2.I chose the Holy Chic because that’s what I am. Through all my mess I found God. I am saved and living for God without any reservations or regrets. After what he has done for me, I owe him more than I could ever give.

I don’t want to give the book away but what was your favorite line in the book that makes others stop and think

3.I guess my favorite line would be, that I played many parts in life, but none of them I was paid for. One more, I sing because I am free, I smile because I am free.

What advice can you give other small businesses owners when they have to work hard and want to give up?

4. Don’t! Under no circumstances do you ever give up on yourself or your dreams. Anything worth having is worth fighting for. We fight for love, so why not our business.

Tell us about your business and let others know how to contact you

I am a writer and I design crafts and mockups. I started the Boss Chic Networking monthly subscription box that will launch in 22 days. Our box helps cater to those boss chic entrepreneurs that want to connect with other business women and want to network. So we box up their info and tons of other goodies and ship them out only once a month.

We are always looking for sponsors who want to add their business info in our boxes.

You can also email me @ bosschicnetworking@gmail.com

If you could live your life all over again what would you change? Or would you change anything at all?

If I could live over again I would definitely talk some sense into that young foolish girl, and some lessons I am glad I learned. Life has no blueprint to it, so we have to build it wisely and only hope our foundation will stand.

The book was a great read. What I loved about it is that it got straight to the point without going into a long drawn out story. Sometimes we just want to get to the heart of the matter and that’s what Melesha did. Make sure you pick up your copy you will learn some things about yourself!
