It’s that time again! Back to school…it’s a bill that comes around once a year that you spend a couple of hundreds on (I have two kids $360 to be exact). I need to save every penny that I get and JCPenney has the right prices and styles to save you time and money. I have been a fan of JCPenney ever since my mother took me in there at the age of 8….she was buying one of her favorite lines Worthington. Every few pieces in my mothers closet was from JCPenney so I know their brand and quality is unlike anything else. Since my kids are in uniform I have to be able to save as much as possible for clothes. Although uniforms are cheaper in the long run ….in the short run it can be quite expensive. I normally buy 3 pants for my son along with 4 shirts and for my daughter I buy 2 pants and one skirt and 4 shirts. That normally lasts for the first half of the year until they grow…..by Christmas I am getting more clothes and spending more money.
My kids do however get a dressed down day once a month and for those days I want her to look excellent. It’s the days she looks forward too the most because she gets to bring out her style. We went to JCPenney on last week to pick out some fall clothes for my son and daughter. My son was at boxing so I got to pick out his clothes which never happen anymore. My daughter was with me and she told me she knew what her brother looked good in……*side eye* So to shopping we went…
We first headed over to the uniform section I buy a size up for my kids so that they don’t grow out of it so fast. I have bought for my kids before from JCPenney and their uniforms hold up pretty good. You know how you buy from some places and there is a hole in the pants after the first two months ..not with JCPenney. Their pants lasted and there was no hole.
My daughter then went over to the regular clothes section and went fool…
While she is over there let’s talk about how you can save a few pennies for back to school
- Buy in bulk to send your child back to school with snacks. If you have two kids buying in bulk will save you time and money for their lunches
- Catch the sales. JCPenney always has sales….always
- Buy off season. So since fall is coming buy summer stuff now and buy one or two sizes bigger. This will help you save tons of money because they have to put it on sale and it’s a great sale
- Buy school supplies that they need first then buy for the classroom. I know that we struggle but you can’t do it all buy only what you can afford and the dollar store has great stuff
After I was done with the kids….I went and did a little shopping for mama…yes I want to look good. I know I am not in school but whatever!
Saving money for back to school is a must and I am so glad stores like JCPenney is around so that we can save a penny or two whenever we need too! How do you save for back to school?
