I love hot wings! Although I eat it regularly sometimes I want something different. Something that won’t burn my mouth and my souls…..yes my hot wings are usually that hot lol. I thought I would try some honey garlic chicken wings. I made them a few weeks ago for a dinner party and OMG……I won’t tell you that I hardly had any left and my kids ate them….the kids who only eat lemon pepper wings.
Let’s get those wings seasoned and the grease hot! I like to season my wings with what I have of course you can follow the recipe but I put other stuff on my wings.
Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
Ingredients
½ cup flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon salt
2 pounds chicken
Instructions
Mix flour, garlic powder, pepper, and salt in a small bowl. Coat each chicken wing
Pour ¼ inch of oil into a shallow pan, and bring it to a medium high heat.
In small batches, fry the chicken wings for 4 minutes on each side. Remove from the oil and let rest on a paper towel.
Honey Garlic Sauce
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon garlic
1 tablespoon ginger
½ cup soy sauce
5 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Over medium-high heat, melt the butter and add the garlic and ginger.
Add soy sauce, honey, and brown sugar to pan and reduce for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add the fried wings directly into the sauce pan and stir until the wings are covered in the sauce.
Yes honey this was so good. I would try it at least twice a month and do a mixture of hot, lemon pepper, and these honey garlic chicken wings right here.
Now when I don’t feel like making wings at home I grab some from one of our favorite wing spots here in the A.
What’s your favorite wings flavor?

April 26, 2020 at 6:24 amThese were sooo good!!! That’s all we kept saying while we were eating haha. To make them gluten free and soy free I modified the recipe. Used arrowroot for the flour and coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. Definitely will be making this again. Thank you!
