Easy Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes

Donuts! That’s all I needed to say……one word that speaks to why I can’t loose weight. If you are like me and trying to loose weight save these for your cheat day. How do you make your donuts? I have the recipe for your very own glaze…message me on any of my social media sites to get that recipe or I might just put the glaze recipe on my Facebook page which btw…..are you following me?

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cans Crescent Rolls
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons Cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Combine both cans of rolls into a ball of dough. Pinch off enough dough and roll it in between your hands to form a ball about ½ inch in size. Do this until all the dough is gone.
  2. Be heating your oil while doing this. We just used a deep fryer.
  3. Combine your cinnamon and sugar in a bowl and mix well. Set aside.
  4. Get a plate and cover it with a paper towel. Set near your fryer.
  5. Once fryer is heated, place your donut holes, a few at a time in the grease. Do not have it too hot as you want the inside to have time to cook before the outside gets overcooked. We left ours in for about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Once cooked through, scoop out and place on the plate to drain.
  7. Immediately place in the bowl of cinnamon and sugar and cover each donut hole in the mixture. Place on a bowl or plate and enjoy!

I know using the canned crescent dough might be faster and they do taste good. We just make everything from scratch around our house but we have the time to do this.

I could totally go for a couple of those to go with my coffee right now. I have made these but not in a while and they are a quick and easy sweet treat to make.

When my kids were growing up, I’d make cinnamon sugar donuts out of canned biscuits when I was short on time and they were hungry for a snack. I’ve never thought to make them using crescent rolls. I must try this soon!

Crescent roll dough is so versatile. These would be perfect for a quick bite and knowing me and my kids we’d probably experiment with a few fruit or cream cheese or chocolate fillings.

This looks so good! I love how easy they are I am definitely going to make these. It’s much better to hold my stuff then to go to the store and get them they always taste better too. Although I usually go to the store to get donuts it would be fun to make these with my kiddo.

My other half loves anything cinnamon and these would be like his idea of a dream treat. So I think we are going to have to give it a good try for him.

I have used canned biscuits for this sort of thing, but not crescent rolls. I bet it lends a much better texture! I’m gonna have to grab a can and make some.

These are so cute and so easy! My daughter would love to make these. This would be a fun cooking project this fall. Plus my daughter has a peanut allergy, so what better way to make donut holes at home that we know are peanut safe.

How simple and delicious! These would get gobbled up in a flash around my home, especially at this time of the year. These doughnut holes with a good cup of hot chocolate would make the perfect treat!

I’m so making these for the kids. I’ve fried them biscuits before but I only put confectioner sugar on them. This looks even better.
