I saw this recipe on my TL on FB as a healthy option. I love Tuna! I usually make a tuna fish salad with some type of pasta but I thought this option would be a tad bit healthier. Plus it has my avocado in it so that has got to be a winner….right? I tried the salad and the verdict….it was good but very healthy tasting. I am use to more stuff lol. I am trying to do my best and eat more healthy options and this was a good one if you are looking for that. The salad was good but won’t be a staple around my home lol. Here is the original recipe. The only thing I didn’t use was the cilantro. I also added onion powder, smoked paprika, and fresh garlic to mine.
1 whole avocado
1/4 red onion
4 tlbs of lemon juice
1 tbs olive oil
Salt & Pepper to your liking
I used three cans of Tuna in the oil for mine because I love Tuna just that much. I think next time I will add some lettuce or spinach to mine to give it some umph.
Summer is the perfect time to try new and exciting salads. While this may not be high on my list I might make it again and do a few more changes. What’s your favorite summer salad? Would you make this?
